Two days ago, I was browsing through friendster. I was flipping through someones photos and I found out that her cupcakes look better than mine!
Naturally, I got competetive. I want my cupcakes to look and taste better than anyone elses. Talk about kia su. From all the comments I get, I already know my cupcakes taste the best. I'm so proud! But looking the best is another issue.
So Ifound this great cupcake decorating idea online and made the cutest Bug Cakes! All you have to do is cut the top dome of, slice it in half as use that as wings. Add icing for a brigther finish and use gumdrops as heads.
Overall, it still looks a little messy as it was my first try but they tasted awesome! They still cant really rival the ones I saw on friendster but they sure are close!
My rival cupcakes. *sigh* They looks good
My Bug Cakes!
My sister, Millie, help me decorate some of the cupcakes. Here are some of our favourites!
This is my favourite cupcake that I decorated
This is my favourite that Millie decorated
This is Millie's favourite of hers
And finally, this is Millie's favourite of mine!
Megan - the annoying 4 year old sister - was also busy snapping at everything she could find. Although her photos usually come out like crap. This one wasn't bad.
Me - working hard decorating the cupcakes. Taken by Megan
After that I got bored and we had some leftover icing. So I sprayed it all over the sink in the kitchen!
Leftover icing
Looks like silly string
So that's about it for what I have to say about my Bug Cakes!
I have no idea why but I have really been craving pancakes lately. Last night I was awake at around midnight to have mini cinamon pancakes with honey and butter.
This afternoon though, I woke up at 3.00 pm. Everyone else had already had lunch so I decided on making some 'Mini Banana Pancakes' for myself. I just used an ordinary pancake recipe and added thinly sliced bananas into the batter. They came out awesome!
For serving options, try honey and butter with more thinly sliced bananas or even some vanilla ice-cream!
That's what I look like right now. I haven't had any sleep in the last 48 hours and I'm still hanging on to wait for my Beloved. I'm praying he comes soon so I can crash! Have fun laughing at my sleepy expression!
Last night I couldn't sleep. I was on the computer till 1.30 am then, I decided to read before I go to bed. So I continued reading my 'Breaking Dawn'. I stopped reading around 2.45 am. As I lay in bed, I couldn't stop thinking bout Edward so I gave up trying to sleep at 4.00 am and started reading again. Somehow, I couldn't stop myself so I kept reading till 6.00 am this morning.
Breaking Dawn
After that I poured myself 2 glasses of coke and ate a piece of leftover chocolate pancake. At 7.15 am, after my Beloved finally came online, we watched Heroes before I went down craving pancakes again. So this time, I made Milo Pancakes. I made Buttermilk Pancakes and added Milo powder and chocolate chips to it.
Milo Pancakes
After that, I just couldn't take it anymore so I crashed at 10.30 am. I slept through lunch and woke up at 1.45 pm. Now, I just can't sleep anymore.
I am honestly, too free. So for those of you who haven't seen my work yet, here are some of the banners I've made over the years. I am also open to anyone who would like to request a banner. Just send me an e-mail and give me the details. Bear in mind that I am posting all my banners from the very first banner I made to the most recent one.
This was my first banner. I made it around 2 years ago. Yes. It looks like crap. I know. But I improve!
My second banner looks worse than the first.
But like I said, I get better.
Wasn't too happy with this one though.
This has always been one of my favourites...
SarcasticSweetie was my favourite author so alot of the banners I made were for her.
I loved this story... The authors account got frozen/deleted so I never managed to finish the story... *sad*
I like the way Hermione looks in this banner.
I made this one on Chris's computer. She was teaching me how to use adobe.
This was the first time I experimented with using an actual picture as the background.
This banner is actually the second banner I made for this story. The first one came out ugly. At least this one is better. I so fell in love with this story.
For this banner, Daniel was actually staring at Emma but in order to cut her out I had to change the picture to black and white instead.
I don't really like this banner and the story wasn't amazing but it was okay..
I love Eliza Dushku.
Didn't really read this story but I love Oliver Wood.
I love this story and have been following it for two years. This is also the second banner I've made for this story, though I think the first one is prettier.
Loved this story but not too crazy bout Harry in this banner.
Loved this story. This is like the fifth sequel but the author stopped updating.
This is also the second banner for this story. This one is so much better than the first one.
I was so crazy about this story but the author also stopped updating.
Second banner for this story.
Third banner. I think I went a little overboard.
Second banner for this story. It was to suit the story at the time, and if you look closely, you'll realise that the words are actually written from the background of the first banner.
I love the twins!
Second banner. Loved this story too. One of the few that actually ended.
This is the sequel to HeartOfIce. I actually made this featured banner for advertising on my Quizilla page.
This was the first part of the story. This is also a featured banner for advertising.
My favourite part: The rose.
This is actually my most recent and the last banner I made. I am still following updates on this story.
I hope all of you enjoyed seeing my work! If you need anything, feel free to leave a comment on my cbox or e-mail me.
It's like 15 minutes to 5.00 pm right now and I jus woke up an hour ago. I wadled downstairs and I made myself Chocolate Pancakes! Mmm... Well, I was up till 5.00 am last night waiting for my Beloved to finish transfering Heroes Season 3 Episode 9 to me so I have a very good reason for staying up so late!
My Chocolate Pancakes!
Chocolate Pancake with honey and butter!
For this pancake, I just made my ordinary chocolate chip pancakes but thought 'Why don't I try adding sone cocoa powder to it?' So I did. BUT I forgot to add in sugar so it tastes a little bitter. In that cocoa way.
OH EM GEE! As I'm typing now, I just realised that my fingers are still covers in the dried up pancake batter! Eww.. *sigh* I should go wash up soon. I'm still in my PJs and the only thing I've done is pee, brush my teeth and eat. *shudders*
*piak* Hurrah! I just killed that mosquito which gave me 5 mosquito bites last night. I've been hunting it all night and it's finally gone!
This is a love letter. Beautifully written by a man who is so passionately and deeply in love with a woman. It tells about sacrifice, and passion, that can only be found in the most truest of love. The story of their lives:
Why is it when you are so in love with someone that you just can't find the right words to say? You know, as I look back upon life, I find that the moments I have truly lived are the moments when I have actually done something in the spirit of love, heck it was when my life's journey started. Those times in my heart, the simple yet complicated feeling called love floods me, feeling its depth, its delight, the ecstacy of it, changing and transforming the world before my very eyes. It's because of love, there is life. Without love, there would be no breath, no heartbeat, just a barren desert. It's a life of love that I grabbed hold of and have no intention of letting go. Through past experience, I have learned that life's a straight road, what was, is and to be of us. Sometimes, as human beings we look back and ponder upon the other door that was in front of us, choices, options, spread out like a forked lightning or the branches of a bonsai tree. Yet can we honestly say that 'I could or should have taken this road' knowing that nothing happens for a reason? We are no different. Destiny decides who we meet in our lives but only the heart decides who stays. No matter what, we do not have our say in any of this - love is no exception.
Yet I do not regret any of those moments, the things I have done and the things I have chosen not to do, because whatever I have done, I did right cause I ended up with you and I won't regret loving someone because of the feeling of love, for even a minute is greater than an eternity of hurt. If I know what love really means, it;s because of you. Sweet as a rose bud, bright as the star, cute, yet possesing pure beauty, bordering on innocence, that is what you are - bundles on joy, fun and all. You are everything I love all rolled into one.
I love you! Not just because of what you are but what I am when I'm with you. And I would rather be blind than not to see you, I would rather not hear anything than not to hear you, I would rather loose my voice if I didn't tell this to you... That I would rather loose my heart than not to love you.
A friendship on fire, that's how it all started. In the begining a flame, pretty and beautiful, often hot and fierce but still only light and flickering yet as it grew older, our hearts mature becoming as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable. Gives meaning to the phrase 'Good things come by everyday, but great things come all at once'. You know, if there was a headcount in heaven, I'd bet you there would be a pandemonium, upon discovering that an angel is missing. Please tell them you are safe with me, my sweet angel...
Time. Naturally an unforgiving entity, a force to slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grive, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity. I mean sure, a life with love will have its thorns, but a life without love would bear no roses. Love alone is capable of uniting living beings in such a way as to complete and fulfil them, for it alone takes them and joins them by what is deepest in them. Me? I desire nothing more except to be in you heart till forever dies...
Even till now, as the days go by, I still get lost in those eyes, transfixed, mesmerised and I realised that I am not lost anymore, I am right where I want to be - with you. And when you actually realise you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want the rest of you life to start as soon as possible even if it means waiting forever, that I promise...
Love, a symbol of eternity, wipes out all sense of time, destroying all memory of a begining and all fear of an end, it withers under constraints, its very essence of liberty: compatible neither with obedience, jealousy, nor fear: it is the most pure, perfect, unconditional, unlimited where its votaries live in confidence, equility and unreserved. It is the child of illusions yet the parent of disillusions, the irresistible desire to be irresistobly desired... And even still, a widely misunderstood, although highly desirable malfunction of the heart which weakens the brain, causes the eyes to sparkle, cheeks to glow, blood pressure to rise and the lips to pucker...
This is like weeks later and only now am I posting up my Band Camp experience. It was surprisingly fun!
Thursday
Everyone arrived at school around 2.00 pm. We found out that the band room was still locked so everyone dumped their nags on the ground and loitered around. It looked as if we were all taking a trip around the world as almost everyone brought really big suitcases.
After registration I found myself in Durian Griup. Which was SO ironic as I hate Durian!
Group Members: - Me! - Christine - Stephanie - Bernedette - Judith - Ruth - Ernie - Kelly - Gabrielle
Facilitator: Lip Yi!
They opened the Band Room - after what seemes like forever melting in the heat outside - and asked everyone to dump their luggage in the KH room. After that, we all migrated to the Band Room for briefing and 'Ice Breaking'.
They also handed out the rule... No. 6 Partying after lights out is strictly prohibited LOL!
During 'Ice Breaking', we played charades. Evelyn had to imitate Shrek. My favourite had to be when Steph had to make us guess 'Dead Man's Coffin'. She didn't know how to imitate 'man', so she made it seem as if she was a guy masturbating! While she did that, Kher Ching got the wrong idea and yelled out 'PENIS! And so the whole band burst out in laughter!
After charades, we were asked to go outside with our groups and think of our band cheer. Steph was voted as group leader while Chris was voted as assitant group leader. They won by a landslide.
Break Time was pretty disappointing as I was always looking forward to band food. This year for Break teacher only gave us Milo.
Teacher: Milo tastes better during camp!
Soon after we had band practice with Mr. Marvin. He gave us 4 new pieces and Evey was assigned to play her Bass Clarinet. The whole clarinet section said that she had betrayed them for she now sits with the tenor saxophones! Saxophones Rule!
After that we had dinner. Dinner was really good. We had CURRY!
After dinner, we had to play 'Night Factor'. This game was suppose to teat us on our phisical and spiritual strength. It was suppose to help us think more clearly and make the right choices.
Lysandra made it sound so scary before we started so alot of people backed out before the game even started. They tied our hands behind our backs, blinded folded us and also taped our mouths. Then they would bring us around the school and try to scare us and ask us questions to test us.
Before the game started, Evey said that I would really have to go to the toilet and back out halfway. IRONICALLY, before I even got too far into the game, I had to quit because I really had to go to the toilet! Out of the whole band, only two people quit because they really needed to pee! Me, and Sarah!
After 'Night Factor' ended, we were suppose to clean up before lights out but I was lucky enough to go home!
Friday
I was suppose to wake up early and make it to 'Morning Exercises' at 6.00 am then attend marching at 6.30 am. Unfortunately, well more like fortunately, I couldn't wake up. So instead, I decided to just attend breakfast instead. As if God was out to get me, I missed breakfast for they finished marching early! *sigh*
After that we had sectionals and band practice. All the other students still had to go to school so only the Band Members enjoyed spending their day having fun in the aircon room.
After what seemed like forever, it was time for Station Games!' We were given clues to figure out so we could proceed to the next station. Whicever team finished fastest and collected the most points would win.
The stations:
1. Beth: We had to slide down a big canvas sheet - with soap and water on it - and get wheelbarrowed to a container of beans and pick out two different kind of beans while they yelled questions at us. Chris was so smart to pick white and we ended up picking our barley beans! Which are extremly small compared to green beans!
Beth: I like their wet asses!
2. Erica: We had to carry a wet sponge tied to our hands and fill up a bottle then 'fish' it and bring it back to the bucket where we will pour the water out and start again. We really sucked at this station
3. Amanda: We had to carry a 'Smartie' on a spoon in our mouthes and carry it over a maze of nylon string, climb over uneven stacked chairs and put it into an unbelievably small container. We did pretty well on this station.
4. Ginny: They hung a banana to the soft ball goal and we had to poke toothpicks into the banana. With our mouthes. They had to carry me cause I was too short to reach the banana. We couldnt touch the banana so Steph and Judith had to hold the banana in place with their forheads while eveyone else poked it into the banana. After a while, banana mush started flowing out onto Steph's forhead.
5. Elaine: This station was easy and fast. We just had to figure out which egg was raw.
6. Lysandra: This was our last station. We hand to line up in a line and carry a sheet of newspaper and pass a rolled up peice to each other by transfer. The last person at the line - me - had to throw it into a bucket. This game was suppose to be played with water ballons but they ran out of ballons so we used rolled up newspaper instead.
After we finished, we realised that we were the second team to finish. So the first team - Red Team: Tomato Group - and the second team - us - had to play tug-a-war. As soon as we got into position, we pulled! and the rope broke! So instead, one representative from each group had to blow a ballon till it popped. Again, we got second. Val, from Orange Group blew the biggest ballon but it refused to pop so their team got last.
After we finished, we went to go take a shower. As I wasnt staying over, I decided to jus rinse of by the hose in front of the band room.
Then, dinner came! Evey was so hungry that she ate 2 packets of rice. It was again pretty good. Then we had band practice again, before 'Chill Out!'
During 'Chill Out' we performed our Group Cheer and also did a fashion show for our bandanas that we designed for our group!
Our Group Logo!
Our Bandana!
After that I went home!
Saturday
I made it in time for the morning activities this time. First, we had punishments for those who broke their potato chips - this year we had potato chips as pets. Some of the punishments were funny, like, seduce the water cooler or propose to the first person you see.
After that we had photo taking session and the RC had their telematch. I saw Peter - the second guy I've ever had a crush on. Who knew I had a crush on him - for the first time in 2 years. Taking a deep breath and draging Val with me, I finally went over to say Hi.
After that we had practice for a while then break!
During break a few of us went to watch the telematch. I saw Peter get mud thrown on him. I also saw Julie for the first time in 2 years. She looked so different!
Then we had band practice again. After practice, we surprisinglyhad a spot check and was quarantined in the KH room while they checked throught all our things. Someone had stollen someone's Blackberry.
After that surprise, we had lunch then clean up time.
When the parents arrived, we had our performance and then it was time for Prize Giving!
Durian Group won for best Group Cheer and best Fashion Show.! YAY!
But all things have to come to a close. So we went home!
And that was this years Band Camp experience! It was so much better than last years experience. I HATED Band Camp last year - the comitee last year was crap as well. I actually didn't even want to come back this year but I'm glad I did.
I know he's the one - My beloved - because, he's my Edward Cullen.
Val: How can you be so super sure he's the one? Me: Because... I know what I want. He is what I want. When he doesn't always have this barrier around him, he's my perfect guy. Love hurts. I know that. It wouldn't if it wasn't real... and I just know. Val: But he's like your first boyfriend! Me: I know. But I've had crushes before and it's never felt like this before. Val: I see, I see. Me: He's my Edward Cullen.. Val: WOW... Val: Now, I see it!
I so wanted to post this a really long time ago, but I got lazy. Again.
So anyway, during the final exam, I was sitting there for my seni exam, waiting for the time to pass. Staring at the clock. Which never seems to move. So I put my head on the desk. *zzz*
Teacher: Michelle, pass up your work. Me: *zzz* Martha: *kicks Michelle's chair in attempts to wake her up* Teacher: *pokes Michelle* You need to hand in your paper. I'm collecting now. Me: *lifts head, stares at teacher* Go away! *puts head on desk, zzz* Teacher: *tries to pull paper from under Michelle* Hello? Martha: *kicks some more* Me: *lifts head* Teacher: *pulls paper from under and stomps off* Me: *zzz* Class: *laughes at Michelle*
OH EM GEE! I can't believe Twilight is coming out soon! I so love Edward Cullen. Honestly, I think that Twilight the movie will be a BIG disappointment. So I'm going to keep thinking bad thoughts about it in my hopes of keeping my hopes low so that I will be surprised when the movie comes out. People, seriously, read the series and you will fall in love with Edward!
Here is a little clip I found while browsing youtube. It's so cute and I agree 100% with her. Edwarddeservesmore!!He would so not let Bella get that far! Especially in the first book! URGH!!Jealous
People should so watch this. Its funny! I agree 100%
Well I was pretty bored yesterday so I decided to make some cupcakes and cookies. This holiday has actually been pretty boring. Don't you find it weird how when you are in school you wish and you pray that time would move faster so you could go home, while during the holidays time practically eats you alive? Well I too hate that feeling. I've been scratching my brain on what to do so I can fill up my time. While my beloved is having fun with his SPM, I'm stuck alone at home with nothing to do. For some weird reason, sleep doesn't take up enough time. I thought, maybe by baking - which is a grueling slow process whereby you sit patiently and wait for the f'ing things that you are making to finally be done - will take up more of my time. Just last Sunday I made this HUGE Devil's Food Cake birthday cake. I made it for fun, not that it was anyones birthday. I think I still have it in the fridge. Oh wells. I didn't manage to get a picture of it. As mentioned before, I got lazy and forgot to charge the camera... But, I did get a nice picture of the cupcakes and cookies that i made yesterday.
I made Peanut Butter Cupcakes and...
Double Chocolate Chip Raisin Nut Cookies! Boy, thats a mouthful!
I know I should have posted something here a really long time ago.
BUT I got LAZY!
You can't blame me though. I know you people our there are lazy too!
Here are some of the pictures I actually wanted to get up here a really long time ago. They are actually pictures of the things I've baked or made and wanted to update it here... BUT like I said, I got lazy.
My Cookies and Cream Cupcake!
My Black and White Cupcakes
My Chocolate Cream Pie
My Chocolate Chip Pancakes
My Strawberry Pancakes
Fried Rice!
Cinammon Honey
Well I suppose that's all for now. For some of you who know me, you already know I made so much more but didn't have enought time to take a photo for they were garfed down very quickly.
Well that seems to be all!
Chowz~
